英国Doodle Bug 公司生产的动力辅助三角翼(飞行姿态比较舒适)
Conceived in January 1999, the Doodle Bug was designed to meet a market opening for a compact supine powered harness that requires no major modifications to an existing hang glider wing(Doodle Bug 的设计理念是满足一个开放的市场对紧凑后靠方式的动力座袋需求,该座袋的加入对现有的悬挂滑翔翼不需要做大的改动). The prototype flew in late February and series production started mid June(原型的飞行在1999年2月开始,随后的系列产品从6月中旬开始生产). Since then the Doodle Bug has become Britain's best selling Self-Propelled Hang Glider (SPHG).(从那时开始,Doodle Bug 就成为英国最好的销售自驱动滑翔翼的公司)
The Bug fits onto almost all modern hang glider wings transforming them into a motorised glider that frees you from the constraints of a hill, winch or aerotow. The support legs are then retracted by pulling down the overhead foot stirrup to support the pilots feet, this automatically retracts the legs along side the fuselage.

Controls are typical to the wing that the Bug is attached to with no adverse affects to the flying controls. The side cords of the unit stop any unwanted lateral movement of the engine which inhibits powered spiral instability (tightening into turns).

Landing the Doodle Bug is probably one of the easiest things about the unit. The pilot releases the foot stirrup which allows the legs to swing back ready for landing. After bringing their feet back behind the control bar they then rotate out of the seat and adopt the upright position commonly known as the "Gorilla Position".

The landing approach is made similar to a normal hang glider, with a little additional speed to allow for the extra weight of the unit. After rotation the unit's legs start to drag on the ground and the pilot gently flares the wing to produce a perfect 2 to 3 step landing. The drag from the legs eliminates the need for an aggressive flare.

瑞典蚊子动力坐袋 Mosquito Powered Harness
The Mosquito Powered Harness is a spectacular invention(壮观的发明). This is a perfect addition to your Hang Gliding gear if you reside in an area that is not so blessed to have an easy launch site (with favorable winds) within a reasonble driving distance.

The Mosquito is a small durable engine built into the rear of a custom harness. It will work with any Hang Glider. In a normal Hang Glider you drive to a launch point with enough slope to takeoff and enough altititude for you to search for lift, and if the wind gods are in a favorable mood, you'll be rewarded with hours of airtime and the spectacular views as you climb to higher altitudes. The Mosquito makes things far easier. Any flat field will now work.

Wind direction is no longer an issue as long as you've got a clear path for your climbout(如果已经获得了一个无障碍的飞行爬升通道就不在关注风的方向). Wind is actually not required at all if you've got a decent launch technique(如果你已经获得适当的起飞技术就不需要风啦). The Mosquito's light weight is designed to not be detrimental to soaring flight

Be advised that the electric start is an option but just about every pilot will want that option so they can easily shut off and restart the engine in flight. . The flexible skids contact the ground first(灵活的支撑腿滑撬先触地), protect the prop and the weight in the rear of the harness actually makes the flare (end of the flight) easier than normal(这个先触地可以保护螺旋桨,动力坐袋尾部的重量实际上可以使降落时的flare过程更加容易). The extra power does require a bit more skill than simply flying a beginning glider(额外的动力飞行需要的技能稍微多于自由滑翔飞行).
