2016 JEEP RENEGADE: Drawing crowds into the Jeep exhibit is the new Jeep Renegade, designed in America and crafted in Italy. The 2016 Renegade marks Jeep's first entry in the small utility vehicle segment, and it comes loaded with up to 70 available advanced safety and security features. The Renegade is available in Renegade Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk, in 4x2 and 4x4 setups. The first thing people noticed is the fresh styling, rugged body forms and segment-exclusive "My Sky" panoramic open-air roof panel. For 2016, the Renegade is the first vehicle from Chrysler Group to use the all-new "small-wide 4x4 architecture." Consumers between two all-wheel drive systems: Jeep Active Drive full-time 4x4 and Jeep Active Drive Low - class-exclusive full-time 4x4 system with 20:1 crawl ratio. A pair of engines are offered, starting with the 160-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir standard on the Renegade Sport and Latitude trim lines. The standard engine for the Renegade Limited and Trailhawk, and offered on the Renegade Sport and Latitude is the 2.4L MutliAir Tigershark four-cylinder with multiport fuel injection and 180-hp. Depending on engine choice, a six-speed manual gearbox, and nine-speed automatic transmission are available. The interior of the Jeep Renegade has a distinctive 2+3 passenger design that Jeep has titled "Tek-Tonic," defined by the intersections of soft and tactile forms with unique "protective clamp fasteners," anodized design accents and inspired colors are derived from extreme sports equipment. The Renegade is designed with an efficient and flexible interior package that includes a fold-forward front-passenger seat and class-exclusive removable, reversible and height-adjustable cargo floor panel. For all types of outings, the Renegade can store 18.5 cu.ft. of "stuff" behind the rear seat, and up to a 50.8 cu.ft. for cargo when rear seat back is folded. A rainbow of 10 exterior colors is offered, including Omaha Orange and Solar Yellow clear coats.
